About the role:

We are looking for an experienced software engineer with a natural sense of leadership, who enjoys translating complex product ideas into solid, future-proof software solutions. In this position, you will contribute to the development of software that directly interacts with various subsystems in a complex and cutting-edge machine. You act as the technical point of contact within the team and collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, and other stakeholders. You will define high-level architecture and component designs, translate functional product requirements into detailed software requirements, and support the team with troubleshooting. In addition, you will work closely with both local and international/offshore development teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate release planning together with Product Owners and release managers

  • Translate product requirements into clear and structured software requirements

  • Design high-level software architectures and component/module designs

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across software and system layers

  • Coach team members and ensure technical quality and consistency

  • Collaborate with on-site and offshoring teams to deliver high-value software solutions

Requirements


Education Level: Bachelor Degree
Experience Level: Senior Manager
  • Over 10 years of experience in C# software development

  • More than 5 years of experience in software architecture and system design

  • Familiarity with tools such as Git, JIRA, and PlantUML

  • Preferably experience with Peer Tool Orchestrator (PTO)

  • Strong communication and coaching skills

  • Ability to structure work and clearly guide developers in implementation

  • You live in or near Rotterdam or Delft and are available to work on-site at least 3 days a week (more frequently during onboarding)
