About the role:
We are looking for an experienced software engineer with a natural sense of leadership, who enjoys translating complex product ideas into solid, future-proof software solutions. In this position, you will contribute to the development of software that directly interacts with various subsystems in a complex and cutting-edge machine. You act as the technical point of contact within the team and collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, and other stakeholders. You will define high-level architecture and component designs, translate functional product requirements into detailed software requirements, and support the team with troubleshooting. In addition, you will work closely with both local and international/offshore development teams.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate release planning together with Product Owners and release managers
Translate product requirements into clear and structured software requirements
Design high-level software architectures and component/module designs
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across software and system layers
Coach team members and ensure technical quality and consistency
Collaborate with on-site and offshoring teams to deliver high-value software solutions
Over 10 years of experience in C# software development
More than 5 years of experience in software architecture and system design
Familiarity with tools such as Git, JIRA, and PlantUML
Preferably experience with Peer Tool Orchestrator (PTO)
Strong communication and coaching skills
Ability to structure work and clearly guide developers in implementation
You live in or near Rotterdam or Delft and are available to work on-site at least 3 days a week (more frequently during onboarding)
